Should Japan rethink its relationship with the United States?




     I think that Japan should rethink its relationship with the United States. I have three reasons for this. 
     The first reason is that there have been a lot of bases in Japan since World War Ⅱ ended. The reason why they exist in Japan is for protecting Japan. I think it is a strange situation because Japan should protect it's own country by itself.
     The second reason is that Japan finds it difficult to say it's own opinions to the United States as long as Japan depends on it in for the country’s defense. Of course, protecting your own country by cooperating with other countries is very important, but basically it should be done by each and every country.
     The third reason is that Japan pays a lot of money to the United States using the taxes which are collected from citizens. The money should be used towards the self defense force of Japan.
     For all the reasons above, Japan should rethink its relationship with the United States.

　 日本はアメリカとの関係を考え直すべきだと思います。これには3つの理由があります。
第一の理由は、第二次世界大戦が終わって以来、日本には多くの基地があったからです。それらが日本に存在する理由は、日本を保護するためです。日本は自国を自国で守らなければならないので、不思議な状況だと思います。
第二の理由は、日本が国防のために米国に依存している限り、日本が米国に対して自分の意見を言うのは難しいと感じることです。もちろん、他国と協力して自国を守ることは非常に重要ですが、基本的には各国が行うべきです。
第三の理由は、日本が国民から徴収する税金を使って米国に多額のお金を払っているからです。そのお金は日本の自衛隊に使われるべきです。上記のすべての理由から、日本は米国との関係を再考する必要があります。
