Should the death penalty be banned in Japan?



     I think that the death penalty should be banned. I have three reasons for this. 
     The first reason is that people should not kill others even if they have valid reasons. Some people might say that the accused killed other people, so they should be given the death penalty, but I am against it. This is because killing the accused will not benefit society. It will only stifle the emotions of those affected by the crime and remove one murderer from society. 
     The second reason is that there is a possibility that the accused has not committed the crime at all. If it is discovered that the culprit was innocent after having enforced the death penalty, it can't be undone. In fact, this would be murder. 
     The third reason is that anyone can make a mistake. Even if the accused committed a heinous crime, people should understand that it may have been a mistake. Killing people is unforgivable, but giving the death penalty is not the solution. The person who committed the crime should be given a chance to do something good in society, like volunteering for a social cause. It will also give them time to reflect on what they did. 
     Due to these reasons, I believe that the death penalty should be banned. (215 words)

　死刑は禁止されるべきだと思います。これには3つの理由があります。
　第一の理由は、正当な理由があっても人を殺してはならないということです。被告人が他の人を殺したので、死刑を科すべきですだと言う人もいるかもしれませんが、私は反対です。被告人を殺すことは社会に利益をもたらさないからです。それは犯罪の影響を受けた人々の感情を抑圧し、社会から一人の殺人者を排除するだけです。
　第二の理由は、被告人が全く犯罪を犯していない可能性があるということです。死刑を執行した後、犯人が無実であることが判明した場合、それを元に戻すことはできません。実際、これは殺人です。
　第三の理由は、誰でも間違いを犯す可能性があるということです。被告人が凶悪犯罪を犯したとしても、それは間違いだったのではないかと人々は理解すべきです。人を殺すことは許されませんが、死刑を与えることは解決策ではありません。犯罪を犯した人には、社会的目的のためにボランティアをするなど、社会で何か良いことをする機会を与えるべきです。それはまた彼らに彼らがしたことを熟考する時間を与えるでしょう。
　これらの理由から、死刑は禁止されるべきだと私は思います。
