Has a university degree in the humanities lost its relevance in today’s world?



     I think that a university degree in humanities has lost its relevance in today’s world. I have two reasons for this. 
     The first reason is that a university degree in humanities, as well as other subjects, is not very useful. In the past, getting a university degree used to be worth something, but that is not the case now. That is because, earlier, a person having a university degree was regarded as someone with a lot of information, but nowadays, everyone can get the same education from the internet for free. 
     The second reason is that studying humanities is not very useful for many people. Some people say that it is helpful, but I disagree. There are many people around the world who have studied humanities. Of course, a person who studies humanities is needed for society, but there are too many people who have chosen this path. It is a waste of human resources. In fact, many of my friends who majored in humanities have jobs that are not related to their qualification. In other words, it means that companies are not specifically looking to hire people who major in humanities at university. 
     Therefore, I believe that a degree in humanities has lost its relevance in today’s world. (209 words)

　人文科学の大学の学位は、今日の世界ではその信頼性を失っていると思います。これには2つの理由があります。
　第一の理由は、人文科学の大学の学位や他の科目はあまり役に立たないということです。以前は、大学の学位を取得することは価値がありましたが、現在はそうではありません。なぜなら、以前は大学の学位を持っている人は情報量の多い人と見なされていたのですが、今では誰もがインターネットから無料で同じ教育を受けることができます。
　第二の理由は、人文科学を学ぶことは多くの人にとってあまり役に立たないということです。役に立つと言う人もいますが、私は同意しません。人文科学を学んだ人は世界中にたくさんいます。もちろん、社会には人文科学を学ぶ人は必要ですが、この道を選んだ人が多すぎます。それは人的資源の浪費です。実際、人文科学を専攻していた私の友人の多くは、資格とは関係のない仕事をしています。言い換えれば、企業は大学で人文科学を専攻する人を特に採用しようとはしていないということです。
　したがって、人文科学の学位は、今日の世界ではその信頼性を失っていると私は思います。
