Is a worldwide ban on weapons of mass destruction an attainable goal?




     I do not think that a world ban on weapons of mass destruction is an attainable goal. I have three reasons for this. 
     The first reason is that most countries which have already made weapons of mass destruction have to retain them. That is because reducing or doing away with them would mean losing their protection against other countries. Although many people think that all the weapons should disappear in the world, it is not realistic. 
     The second reason is that we have to prepare for protecting our own countries, not only from other countries' attack but also other planets. People do not know everything about space. There is a possibility that people from other planets have greater weapons than people on the earth have. You can imagine that from movies like the Avengers. 
     The third reason is that there are some companies that earn money by selling weapons of mass destruction. They have the power to change laws because they have a lot of employees and money. If there are some politicians who try to make a law for banning the weapons, it will not be attainable. 
     For all the above reasons, in my opinion we cannot achieve a worldwide ban on weapons of mass destruction. (207 words)

大量破壊兵器の世界的禁止は達成可能な目標ではないと思います。これには3つの理由があります。
第一の理由は、すでに大量破壊兵器を製造しているほとんどの国がそれらを保持しなければならないということです。それらを減らすか廃止することは、他の国に対する彼らの守りを失うことを意味するからです。多くの人が世界ですべての武器が消えるべきだと考えていますが、それは現実的ではありません。
第二の理由は、他国の攻撃だけでなく、他の惑星からも自国を守るための準備をしなければならないということです。人々は宇宙についてすべてを知っているわけではありません。他の惑星の人々は、地球上の人々よりも大きな武器を持っている可能性があります。アベンジャーズのような映画からそれを想像することができます。
